As Malaysians, we’re super lucky to have myriads of celebrations that we can experience, thanks to the multicultural aspects which is one of the many things that makes us Malaysians.
Over the weekends, Indians all over the world have been busy preparing and celebrating Deepavali. Of course, Malaysians wouldn’t miss the chance to celebrate Deepavali too because it is one of the biggest celebrations here at every year’s end before Christmas and New Year. Former Prime Minister, Dato Seri Ismail Sabri also had the luxury of celebrating the big day with Malaysians, as shown on his TikTok post @ismailsabrirasmi.
The former PM was greeted by Tok Mat, the Minister of Defense, and Dato Seri Saravanan Murugan, the former Minister of Human Resources. The Deepavali celebration was held during an open house in KL, and aside from feasting on the food and enjoying the performances, Ismail Sabri was also occupied with taking pictures with the guests.
When he was in the house or outside enjoying his food, many guests took the opportunity to take pictures with the former PM in their respective special outfits on the special day.
After no longer holding the top post as PM, Ismail Sabri has been sharing his activities outside of politics on his TikTok account, such as brisk walking at the park or going shopping.
On most occasions, the Bera Member of Parliament (MP) will meet many fans who want a picture with him.
A child was also seen hugging Ismail Sabri tightly at the end of the clip. In the comment section of the post, many Malaysians also wished the former PM a Happy Deepavali. You can watch the clip below.
