A video which has made its rounds on social media saw the footage of a Foodpanda delivery rider being involved in a hit-and-run incident after colliding with a black MPV attempting to cut the queue.
The incident which took place near Jalan Tanjung Rambutan, Ipoh was recorded by an onboard dash camera of a witness to the incident and sees the poor rider bumped by the MPV before toppling at the side of the road.

After hitting the rider, the driver didn’t even stop his vehicle to check up on the rider, but instead just drove away from the scene.
Perturbed, one netizen posted the video on social media asking members of the public to locate and report the driver to the authorities.
Netizens commenting on the post, began running the vehicle’s registration number and came up with the details of the driver.
As a result many tagged the Royal Malaysia Police and the Road Transport Department for further action on the hit-and-run incident. As reported by Sinar Harian, the driver of the MPV has since surrendered to the police and made a report at the Ipoh District Police Headquarters.
The 48-year-old driver is currently under investigation under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
