The federal government has launched its first MADANI Mart today in Indera Mahkota, Kuantan. The convenience store aims to provide essential goods at lower prices to support the local community.
Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, Fuziah Salleh, announced the opening of the first outlet on her Facebook page. The store was officially inaugurated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

In her post, she wrote: “Kuantan, are you ready? The first MADANI Mart will open tomorrow (3 April) and will be officiated by the Prime Minister. This is an initiative to help the public obtain basic necessities at more affordable prices.”
Easing the burden of the rakyat
The Prime Minister’s Political Secretary, Ahmad Farhan Fauzi, also shared the news on Facebook, stating that the MADANI Mart initiative is a key strategy to help the public combat the rising cost of goods.

“MADANI Mart is an initiative focused on developing a network of community-based retail stores, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas,” he explained.
“It aims to provide quality essential goods at fairer, more affordable prices, with the primary focus on supporting the well-being of the people.”
