Finding the love of your life is rare and special, but what happens after you’ve both grown old and one has to live without the other due to death?

Well, thankfully, this elderly couple from Petaling Jaya didn’t have to experience that.

According to a report by Sin Chew Daily, a 102-year-old man passed away at 6am on June 11 (Sunday) in his home.

Upon hearing the news, his 94-year-old wife cried tears of  followed him to the afterlife merely hours later, at around 6pm while admitted at a hospital due to health issues.

Despite being apart during their last hours on earth, they were reunited soon enough.

The couple was said to be in love and happily married for about 80 years. They had 5 sons and a daughter together which eventually grew into a 4th generation with over 50 descendants.

The family held a ‘happy funeral’ on the morning of June 14 (Wednesday) for the departed love birds, traditionally to symbolise and celebrate the loving and fulfilling life they lived together.

Everyone wore red shirts as they accompanied the deceased to their final resting place at the Bukit Gasing Memorial Park.

Considering how closely knit the family is, it’s certain that the elderly couple’s love will live on among them.
