In an effort to eliminate such behaviour and foster a more peaceful environment for the residents in the area, Communications Minister and Lembah Pantai MP, Fahmi Fadzil, is meeting up with business leaders there to come up with solutions to this problem.

Taking to his X page, he shared how he sat down with the founder and group executive chairman of the KK Group of Companies to chat about the current, unsavoury environment in Bangsar.

He wrote, “I met up with Dato’ George and Dato’ Seri Dr. KK Chai yesterday evening (November 26), to discuss issues that were brought up by the residents of Bangsar, including incidents of customers drinking alcoholic beverages in front of stores until the early morning hours.

To curb this issue and prevent unwanted incidents from happening, KK Mart has agreed to add more security personnel there.

Fahmi Fadzil further shared that he will also speak to other business owners in the area to see what more they can do to create a more friendly environment there.

“I will meet with all parties including residents, PDRM, DBKL, and bar and pub operators soon to ensure that the harmony and well-being of the local community is maintained,” he said.
