The Ministry of Health (MOH) has dismissed claims circulating on social media that government health clinics will stop accepting walk-in patients effective January 2026.

In a statement, the ministry refuted the claim and noted how the viral post has confused the public.

MOH refutes claims that government health clinics are no longer accepting walk-ins

The circulating message reads,

“There will no longer be walk-in services at any Health Clinic, wherever you are. All visits will require appointments made through the MySejahtera system. Please remind our elderly, as we worry they may travel from far away only to be turned away.”

However, MOH clarified that while the appointment system is the main method, walk-in services are still available.

“Walk-in services are still offered, especially for emergencies, senior citizens, and those who have difficulty accessing technology. Patients without appointments will still be seen, but they will go through a triage assessment first,” they added.

They also pointed out that patients with appointments will still get priority according to their scheduled time slots.

“MOH understands that not everyone has the same access to technology. That’s why walk-in services will continue, to ensure equitable access to healthcare for all citizens.”
