To those who travel by KTM, in case you’ve been noticing men in the women’s coach, here’s why.
In conjunction with the Thaipusam celebration, KTM recently announced that the women’s coach WILL NOT be enforced during the Thaipusam season, effective February 9 until February 12.

“To ensure passenger comfort of all passengers during the 2025 Thaipusam celebration, the enforcement of the women’s coach will not be implemented for KTM Komuter services in the Klang Valley from Feb 9 to Feb 12.”
During these 4 days, KTMB will also run for 24 hours.
KTM trains are expected to be crowded during this season as those who celebrate Thaipusam will be boarding the train to Batu Caves.

The Pelabuhan Klang – Tanjung Malim – Pelabuhan Klang route will also run on a full schedule so that passengers can enjoy a seamless journey during Thaipusam.
In the meantime, KTM users can also enjoy free train rides on February 10 and 11, as announced by KTMB earlier.
Many netizens were happy with the announcement
Malaysian social media users, particularly the men, were happy with KTM’s announcement. Many of them thanked KTM for “disabling” the women’s coach for the season.

“For the first time, Malaysians are happy with KTMB.”
“A good move. Thank you KTMB!”
“We truly appreciate your understanding.”

“The women’s coach was made for the comfort of passengers. Now, the women’s coach is temporarily suspended for the passengers’ comfort.”
KTM users, what do you think of this move?
