“Pray for YB Ustaz” – Dungun MP’s Toyota Vellfire 95% Destroyed After Catching Fire on LPT2 Highway

Member of Parliament (MP) for Dungun Wan Hassan Mohd Ramli’s vehicle caught on fire in an incident at Kilometre 330 of the East Coast Highway 2 (LPT 2) heading to Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu, today (September 1).

According to a report by Sinar Harian, the Head of Zone 2 for the Terengganu Fire and Rescue Department, Senior Fire Superintendent II Rohaya Jamil, shared that his department received an emergency call at 12:47 PM before a fire engine with 10 personnel from the Kerteh Fire and Rescue Department (BBP) was dispatched to the scene.

Dungun MP’s luxury MPV caught fire on the LPT2 highway

The fire involved a Toyota Vellfire multipurpose vehicle (MPV), which was almost 95% burnt. The extinguishing operation was carried out using a hose stream from the fire engine’s water tank, and the fire was successfully controlled at 1:17 PM. The operation ended at 1:25 PM.

“An adult man and an adult woman were in the vehicle, but both are safe,” he said.

Sura assemblyperson (ADUN), Dr Tengku Muhammad Fakhruddin Tengku Md Fauzi, also took to his Facebook page to share a video of the incident.

He wrote, “YB Ustaz Wan Hassan’s car caught on fire at LPT2 a while ago. I ask that friends pray for YB Ustaz.”
