A divorced man and a single mother were caught for Khalwat at a house in Tangkak, Johor, but it was not their first rodeo.

3 months ago, the couple was caught for the same offence at the same place, by the same officers from the Johor State Religious Department (JAINJ).

Two individuals were caught for khalwat at the same place and by the same JAINJ officers

When the door was opened for the officers, the couple did not speak much to them, as they had met the same officers in the previous raid.

According to a viral Facebook post by JAINJ, the couple is planning to get married in the next 2 months. The same officers used to remind them to get married as soon as possible during the first raid.

The night before the second raid, the man parked his car under a tree, which was just 200 meters away from the house. Around 12:30 AM, JAINJ officers knocked on the door and said the raid was done after receiving complaints from the public about the couple.

JAINJ also revealed that each of the pair was fined RM2,800 during the first raid.

This time, however, the couple is awaiting a trial date at the Syariah Court in Tangkak, Johor, after the court allowed bail at RM2,000.

“They were fined during the first raid, but apparently, it wasn’t enough to make them repent,” JAIN remarked in its Facebook post.

JAINJ also said that the officers had advised the couple about the matter during the first raid. Both the divorced man and the single mother are in their 30s, and the woman has 1 child.
