Taking to social media, this differently abled netizen shared a video of how this security officer did his job so well, that even with his obvious disability, the personnel insisted on checking his OKU status.

“Whenever I drive to the mall, I will always utilise the differently abled parking spot to park my car,” he shared.

“But this time round, things happened a little differently. This security officer insisted that I pull out my OKU card, despite seeing that I am handicapped. “

He added, “As a foreigner, he probably couldn’t understand what I was about to say.”

“Though I may find it a hassle, I’d like to commend the mall’s management for insisting that I show my OKU card as a means to stop others from misusing this facility.”

Let’s hope that malls will do more to ensure that facilities made available to differently-abled drivers are not misused by irresponsible users.
