To our Muslim friends, if you visited Darsa Fried Chicken at the Puncak Alam outlet on March 17, you might have to replace the fasting day.
In an official statement by the management of the fast food outlet, they admitted to having mistakenly played the Maghrib prayer call at its Puncak Alam branch three minutes early, causing the diners to break fast earlier than they should.

On that day, the Maghrib for the Kuala Selangor area was at 7:29 PM, but the restaurant announced the Maghrib azan prayer at 7:26 PM.
Darsa Fried Chicken apologised for the matter and urged customers who dined in at the Puncak Alam outlet on March 17 to make up for the ruined fasting day.
āWe apologise for our mistake and appreciate the awareness and concern demonstrated by the patrons who notified us of the matter.”
āWe acknowledge that this error caused some of our customers to break their fast earlier than the designated time.ā

As a preventive measure, the management said corrective measures have been implemented, including aligning theĀ azanĀ or call to prayer timing with the official prayer schedule.
