Earlier in the week, a kidnapping case went viral after a cosmetics agent was taken from her home in Kampung Semat Jal, Kelantan. A group of 3 men had shown up at her house and dragged her into a Toyota Camry before taking her to an undisclosed location in a neighbouring country.

Now, it has been revealed by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) that her husband, who had left Malaysia to look for her, is allegedly involved in a drug syndicate, which apparently caused the woman’s kidnapping.

According to a report by Harian Metro, Acting Kelantan Police Chief, Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun shared that his initial investigations found that the victim’s husband is believed to be involved in drug smuggling activities.

Following that, he said that the police had already arrested 3 individuals, including the victim’s husband and a woman, to help with the investigations.

We have requested help from the Thai authorities to save the 36-year-old victim and efforts are being made in that direction,”

“The police also believe that the victim knows the activities of her husband in addition to knowing the suspects who took her away yesterday (September 14, Wednesday),” he explained.
