Takiyuddin also highlighted the timeless wisdom of Chinese philosopher Confucius, who reminded us that “harmony is something that must be welcomed.”

“In our diverse society, harmony isn’t about everyone being the same, but about mutual respect and understanding,” Takiyuddin wrote.

He further emphasised that by valuing order, courtesy, and justice, the foundation of unity and harmony within the community can be strengthened.

Meanwhile, Takiyuddin also quoted the philosopher Lao Tzu, who warned that excess and extremes can be destructive, stating, “when something reaches its extreme, the reverse course has already begun.”

“As we celebrate the New Year, let’s renew our commitment to embrace moderation, patience, honesty, and wisdom as guiding principles for building a healthy and meaningful future together.

“PAS wishes a Happy New Year to all Malaysians of Chinese descent, hoping this year brings peace, prosperity, good health, and positive opportunities for every family and individual,” Takiyuddin added.
