A Chinese national and private university student was found dead in his hostel room around 6:20 am on Friday, following complaints of breathing difficulties.
According to Sepang OCPD Norhizam Bahaman, the student experienced breathing problems before losing consciousness and was later found deceased.

Assistant Commissioner Norhizam stated that further investigations were carried out following a post-mortem examination.
“Initial investigations revealed no signs of foul play. The body was sent to Serdang Hospital,” he said.
“The cause of death was determined to be pulmonary thromboembolism due to right deep vein thrombosis. The case has been classified as a sudden death.”

He urged the public not to speculate on the incident. Additionally, the university management denied claims of a delayed emergency response.
“Although the student’s symptoms resembled those of a heart attack, the actual condition required specific treatment beyond the capabilities of standard emergency equipment designed for cardiac issues,” the university said in a statement.
