Having a supportive boss can truly make a difference in the workplace, creating an environment that is not only productive but also vibrant and enjoyable.

In a recent heartwarming video shared by @alvinlee0518, the spotlight is on a manager going the extra mile to celebrate a staff member’s birthday in a unique way.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, the manager disclosed that the celebration took place in Kedah. He expressed that this gesture was his way of extending gratitude to his hardworking staff.

“I appreciate all my staff for their consistent hard work. As a Chinese manager leading an all-Malay team, we’re ultimately all Malaysians. We need that 1Malaysia spirit.”

The manager’s plan involved surprising the staff with a lively lion dance and a specially printed banner. With the help of his supervisor, arrangements were made, and the entire team gathered for a meal to celebrate the staff’s birthday.

He also shared that the inspiration behind the idea is so that staff would feel a sense of belonging, despite differences in race, making them feel like one big family.

Netizens quickly showed love and support, appreciating the manager’s thoughtful approach.

“Who else here has watched the video for more than 1 minute? I will always remember this birthday as a celebration of 1Malaysia with the most laid-back boss ever.”

“I’d always stop to watch whenever there’s a lion dance, a tradition I’ve enjoyed since I was a kid and continue to appreciate today.”

“The best! This is one of the ways to strengthen the bond among all races while respecting one another.”

Witness the celebration in the video below.

It’s heartwarming to witness Malaysians going out of their way to celebrate unity in the spirit of 1Malaysia.
