A Chinese couple and an elderly Malaysian man got into a fight inside and outside of a convenience store, allegedly after the Chinese couple was called out for cutting in line at a convenience store counter.
A video of the incident has since been shared on Reddit’s r/Malaysia, which shows the Chinese couple and the elderly Malaysian man arguing at the convenience store’s counter before they moved outside to the sidewalk and got physical.

This incident is believed to have taken place in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
Started queuing from the middle
In the video, the Chinese couple and the elderly Malaysian man could be heard arguing after the elderly Malaysian man confronted the couple for allegedly cutting the queue at the convenience store’s counter.

The couple had argued back while stating that they queued from the middle of the line.
Things escalated when the couple’s nationality was brought up, as a woman standing behind the elderly Malaysian man said, “China people shouldn’t act like this“.
An invitation to brawl outside
“Do you want to fight? Do you want to fight?” the Chinese man could be heard asking, to which the elderly Malaysian man responded, “If you want to fight, let’s go outside“.

Both parties ended up outside, where the Chinese man and the elderly Malaysian man began to brawl violently. The Chinese woman also threw punches at the elderly Malaysian man.
A security guard was also present at the scene, though based on the video, he did not intervene to stop the fight.
Netizens respond
While some people called out the Chinese couple’s behaviour, others shared their disappointment over the guard’s lack of action to stop the fight.
