Taking care of a special needs child is really something special. Sometimes, when you’re teaching them, you end up teaching yourself something too.
In a recent video posted by @chrizice1, she captures a heartwarming moment of teaching her special needs child Bahasa Melayu during their reading session.
“I hope to inspire other parents with this video”
In the video, her daughter can be heard repeating each word after her mother reads aloud in Malay, even letting out an adorable yawn to show how tired she was.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Chriz mentioned that her daughter, Hayley, who is turning 5 years old in October, eagerly expressed her love for reading and how she finds joy in exploring new books and stories.
She continued to explain that the purpose of posting the video is to inspire other parents of special needs children to nurture and educate them.
“How do you train her?”
Chriz emphasised that children with special needs are capable of achieving anything like any other child, but they often need extra understanding, support, and encouragement from parents.
In response to a question about Hayley’s training down in the comments, Chriz shared,
“My daughter loves to talk in general. I don’t even need to train her. Sometimes, she would even tell me stories when I’m driving.”
Netizens were deeply touched by the video, prompting an outpouring of comments where they shared their thoughts and reactions!
“Now I feel like tearing up.”
“She’s so clever. Towards the end, she cheekily started feeling sleepy. Hayley is such a cute and clever girl.”
“She suddenly felt sleepy but remained a good girl, wanting to sit quietly to study. She’s indeed a smart girl.”
