In today’s edition of dashcam-captured moments, a Reddit user posted a video showing a woman driver patiently waiting in line at a red traffic light somewhere in Johor.
An MPV and a sedan were seen trying to cut queue
In the footage, the woman can be heard narrating after she comes across 2 cars attempting to cut and wiggle their way into the queue while crossing over a double line.
“Let’s take a look at the troublemakers who love to cut in line. It’s okay, we’ll let them go ahead. Go ahead, cut the line.”
As the traffic light turned green, the 2 cars managed to slip into the queue, forcing the other drivers to slow down and make space, allowing them to cut through.
The police basically hit them with a “Not today, sirs!”
An eagle-eyed netizen pointed out that he spotted an officer in the footage, who was seen hiding on the left side and calling out the plate numbers.
Thinking they had gotten away with it, the drivers were caught off guard when they ran into a police roadblock just ahead of the traffic light.
As they approached the roadblock, the officers wasted no time and signalled for the 2 cars to pull over, making it clear that the police had seen them in the act.
“Congratulations for hitting the jackpot,” the woman driver sarcastically added.
The debate among netizens
Another netizen noted that it wasn’t entirely the drivers’ fault for cutting the queue, explaining that the road layout is generally confusing, which can lead to such mistakes.
However, others had a different perspective, arguing that no matter how confusing the road is or how unfamiliar drivers might be with it, crossing a double line is never justified.
Despite the disagreements, others didn’t hold back with their comments, leading them to share their unserious opinions and reactions.
