After multiple posts about doing a gender-affirming surgery, Bai En (formerly identified as Bryan Wee) has officially backed out from his initial plan to remove his private part.
Last night (March 30), Bai En confessed via a video on his FB and said that it was not an April Fool’s joke or a hoax, showing an official letter from the doctor in Thailand as proof that he was this close to doing the surgery.
“I’ve got a letter from the doctor with me, so there’s no reason for me to lie, right? I’m no that lame, I have a busy life.”
A few days back, Bai En even shared a video of him at the airport before he boarded the plane to Bangkok, saying that he had made up his mind to change his gender. He had even consulted the doctor about the surgery but eventually, the costs of the surgery changed his mind.
“RM50K? I can use it for something else”
In his video, Bai En said that after discovering the surgery fee – RM50,000, he noticed that he could’ve used the money for something else.
“I regretted my decision when I was on the surgery bed. I noticed that I can use the money do invest on something and do something more meaningful.”
Bai En, who identified himself as a woman also realised that he didn’t need to perform a gender-affirming surgery to be a woman.
“Even if I did undergo the surgery, I am still not necessarily a woman. I can still be a man who wears skirts, who likes pink, and who prefers keeping his hair long. I can also be a man who likes another man.”
He then added,
“I really don’t care how others perceive me. I also don’t mind if you identify me as a woman. I’m Bai En, not Bryan Wee.”

As long as Bai En is happy with his identity, regardless of how the public perceives it, that’s all that matters.
