Many often refer to fine dining as an event for the experience rather than for the food, and a chance to indulge in a lavish ambiance. But every now and then, our pets may want a little pampering as well.
Establishing itself in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, maoCATfe has become a notable presence for its attraction as Malaysia’s largest boutique for cat products. Be it food, toys, or care products, the café is frequented by many people with their pet cats to enjoy a good meal. It should be noted though that maoCATfe only serves food for humans, and not cats.
However, the eatery recently hosted an event for Delizios, a cat food brand which crafts items with a veterinarian-designed recipe and premium quality ingredients. Taking place just days ago, the event, which was officially called, “Catelier: Malaysia’s 1st Premier Cat Fine Dining Experience“, hosted 16 guests and cat influencers from across the country, which was organised by Delizios.
Through their TikTok page @maocatfe, the café shared snippets from the refined event.
Serving a three-course meal, some of the items the cats had to eat included a tuna whole loin with salmon in gravy, chicken broth and bonito loin chunk in broth topping snapper shrimp, and tuna mousse with tuna cat lick.
Dining in pure comfort, even the surroundings of maoCATfe were decked in luxury, from a dark blue backdrop to elegant gold lamps and an array of flowers.
Many Malaysians who came across the video expressed how impressed they were by the setup, jokingly adding how the event looked better than some weddings for humans.
“Don’t show this video to my cat, it’ll start throwing a tantrum,” jokingly wrote one user.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, a representative from maoCATfe said that though this was a one-time event, the café is looking forward to other possibilities of collaborations in the future!
