Budget 2026: JAKIM to Expedite Halal Certs Issuance, RM124 Million Allocated for Perak Halal Industrial Park

During the tabling for Budget 2026 in the Parliament today (10 October), Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim promised to continue strengthening the halal industry ecosystem.

“JAKIM will continue to expedite the issuance of halal certificates, while the Halal Development Corporation encourages halal compliance among companies.”

RM124 million allocated to develop the Perak Halal Industrial Park

PMX also said that SME Bank will offer special financing for halal MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) with a fund totalling RM100 million.

SJPP (Syarikat Jaminan Pembiayaan Perniagaan) is increasing the Government’s guarantee for halal SME financing from RM1 billion to RM2 billion. The Government will also develop the Perak Halal Industrial Park in the Manjung district, for RM124 million.
