While the world is still shocked by the Air India plane crash that killed almost everyone onboard, another Air India flight is now in the spotlight.
Flight AI379, scheduled to take off from Phuket, Thailand, to New Delhi, India, today (June 13) at 9:30 AM (10:30 AM Malaysia time), had to make an emergency landing on the island after someone on board found a note in the lavatory about a bomb mid-flight.
After circling the Andaman Sea, the flight returned and landed on the Thai island, according to flight tracking service Flightradar24.

All 156 passengers made it out safely and were escorted off the plane.
Aside from the note found, officials confirmed that no actual bomb was discovered on the plane. The person who found the note was also questioned by authorities. Airports of Thailand (AOT), however, did not provide details on the bomb threat, reported Reuters.

The bomb threat came a day after the London-bound Air India AI171 plane crashed into a medical school in India, leaving only one survivor from the flight who jumped out of the emergency exit. The cause of the plane crash, however, is still being investigated.
In the latest update by Al-Jazeera, the black box of the crashed flight has been found.
