Earlier reports indicated that the woman was believed to have been in the river for over 24 hours, based on the bloated condition of the body.
In a recent update by Berita Harian, the deceased was identified following a missing persons report lodged by her sister.
She is believed to be a 23-year-old private college student who was reported missing on July 26.
