Who doesn’t love birthday treats?
So long as you’re a Malaysian citizen whose birthday falls between 1st and 31st December, you’ll be granted free entry to our national zoo, News Straits Times reported.
And if you happen to like pandas, you’ll be delighted to know that this free entry includes entrance to the Giant Panda Conservation Centre (GPCC) too!

Meanwhile, Zoo Negara deputy presidentĀ Rosly @ Rahmat Ahmat Lana explained the reason behind this promo. He said, “The promotion is to encourage more visitors to come to Zoo Negara especially during the school holidays.”

To redeem this ticket, all you have to do is present your MyKad or MyKid at the ticket counter. However, do note that the free ticket will only be valid on your actual birthday and not on any other day of the month.

Just in case you’re curious how much each ticket is worth, the usual charges according to their website are as below:
- Adult: RM44
- Children aged 3 to 12: RM16
- Senior citizen aged 60 and above: RM21
