It’s the festival of lights, and those who are celebrating have been anticipating the season by decorating their houses and preparing the food for a family gathering. As for other Malaysians, they simply share the happiness and joy by taking part in the celebration.
Former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Bin Yaakob also took the opportunity to stroll around Little India in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, recently for the Deepavali celebration, which he deemed “the best moment every Deepavali.” He wanted to get himself a Kurta for the occasion, but he was not there alone.
Joining Ismail Sabri was Datuk Seri Saravanan Murugan, the former minister of Human Resources who also helped Sabri in selecting the best outfits for him.
The pair took their time to observe the Deepavali celebration and preparation in the area, and Sabri was happy with the delightful choices of outfits that he saw at Little India.
“Everything was lovely and cheap. I can wear one or two outfits for Deepavali this year.”
Sabri’s visit to Brickfields was not limited to shopping alone. Many Malaysians and tourists took the golden opportunity to take pictures with the former PM and mingled around with him.
The former PM also took the opportunity to wish the Indians a Happy Deepavali in his Facebook post.
