Previously, we shared how the antics of a boy in Thailand went viral after he literally stood still mid-stride during the playing of the Thai national anthem.

Well, another viral video related to the Thai national anthem has since come out of the Kingdom, this time from the Bangkok district of Bang Bon and involving a woman who disembarked from her car at an intersection.

Going viral on TikTok, the video, shared by @piyanuttfc, has garnered over 8.8 million views and more than 690,700 likes as of the time of writing.

In the video, recorded by a driver from inside a vehicle, a silver Nissan car can be seen stopping at an intersection while its emergency lights are on.

The silver Nissan car’s driver, a woman wearing a green shirt, can be seen standing to attention outside the vehicle while the car door is open.

After standing for a few moments, the woman then bowed several times before re-entering her car and driving away.

It was then revealed that the incident took place at 8am local time when the Thai national anthem is being played nationwide in the country every day.

Hence, the woman stopped the car at the intersection to disembark and stand to attention as a sign of respect for the Thai national anthem.

A new ‘excuse’ to be late to work

However, the individual who recorded the video found the woman’s actions a bit over the top and laughed at her antics in the video.

Furthermore, in the caption, @piyanuttfc joked,

“Called the boss and told him that I’ll be late for work today. He asked why I was late.

“I told him that I stopped and waited for the car in front of me who was respecting the national anthem.”
