Back in April, it was announced that a BTS themed Pop-up store was coming to 1 Utama on 8 May. However, much to the disappointment of BTS fans, the launch was delayed due to the lockdowns.

But the wait is finally over! BTS fans can now rejoice, for the store has opened its doors to visitors!

1 Utama Shopping Centre took to their Facebook profile to showcase images from the launch, which took place yesterday (8 September), and to share customer guidelines.

They wrote,

“We are dropping a dynamite on ya’ll! The long-awaited FIRST ever BTS Pop-up store in Malaysia is now officially open at 1 Utama Shopping Centre, after an exciting regional run. DAEBAK!”

“After the initial launch scheduled for 8 May 2021 was postponed due to MCO, we now excitedly and safely welcome you to live this grand BTS experience, in line with 1 Utama’s expansion plans of bringing in a series of Korean attractions to its Korean-themed retail zone, District K.”

Fans can expect over 300 official merchandise items ranging from limited edition apparel, accessories, bags, figurines, posters, stationery and more. There’s even a special corner dedicated to exclusive Dynamite-themed items only available at the pop-up!

“Get ready to be immersed in the world of BTS once you walk through the signature ‘Blue Door’ entrance! Tour Experiential Zones in the 3,300 square feet pop-up showcase that will take fans down memory lane by going through the different eras of BTS’s music career.”

“Each zone is specially designed to recreate music video sets and album tracks. Take photos for the ‘gram with adorable TinyTAN characters, Black Swan Wings and a Disco backdrop. Also, dance along to your favourite BTS hit songs splashed on the LED wall,” they added.

You are required to be fully vaccinated to check out the pop-up showcase, and only visitors from Phase 1 and 2 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) are allowed. You will then be required to scan a QR code at the entrance counter to be registered on a Virtual Waitlist System.

“A confirmation SMS with a link will then be sent, which shows the real-time queue status virtually, making it safe and convenient for you to check your updated queue position at any time. Once your turn to enter the store is near, a second SMS will be sent to notify you to return for official entry via the QR code,”

“Wrist bands will be issued that allows a maximum stay of 45 minutes per person. Re-entry, food and drinks are not permitted. Other SOPs are listed in the Guest Information and Purchasing Guidelines. Lastly, claim your welcome gift of a FREE BTS Postcard, whilst stocks last!” 1 Utama Shopping Centre explained.
