As we have spent more than a year battling the pandemic which has severely impacted our livelihood, we now have to face the challenges of convincing everyone to register and get themselves vaccinated. Misinformation is everywhere and it is our duty to ensure the public is given the correct details in regards to the vaccination campaign as well as informing them on how and where to register.

Former prime minister, 96-year-old Tun Mahathir has received his first vaccination injection today at the Vaccination Centre in Langkawi where he is the MP there. Being his age, Tun also falls under the high-risk category and by receiving the vaccine, Tun has proved that there is nothing to be worried about. Tun tweeted,

“As a senior citizen, I want to ask those not only in the same age group as mine but also the younger ones to get vaccinated when their turn comes. This is an initiative that all of us must support.”

Read Tun’s full thread here:

According to Tun, he got vaccinated together with the second group of frontliners in Langkawi after all the ones in the first group have been vaccinated. For those who have not registered yet, you can now do so by visiting vaksincovid.gov.my or call 1800-888-828 to register. If you have parents who are unable to access the MySejahtera app, you can help to register for them through these two channels. We would like to request everyone to please register so that we can go about the vaccination roll-out smoothly.
