The whole point of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) is to protect us against the Covid-19 virus which can spread rapidly through crowds.
Though, why are Malaysians not worried about their own safety?
Afdalina Nuraisya took to her Facebook page to showcase images of what looks like a crowded mini Ramadhan bazaar in Taman Tas Kuantan.

She wrote, “This is a picture of Taman Tas from the outside, I haven’t even gone inside to see the situation. I’m in tears watching from a distance.
“I thought of stopping by to buy something after work, but in the end I went straight home as I reflected in the car. During this CMCO season, the Covid-19 virus is everywhere. It’s watching us, but not one of these people are scared. It’s so crowded. So sad.”
What’s scary is the fact that not only are these people causing a crowd that could turn into a new Covid-19 cluster, but they’re also so clearly causing a traffic jam when there shouldn’t even be cars on the road during this CMCO.
We do feel bad for the vendors who open shop as they need to make a living, but we genuinely hope that the visitors practice more caution when it comes to buying from street vendors. Practice social distancing and avoid crowd.
Perhaps the government can assist by coming up with certain standards of procedures for street vendors so that they can still carry out their businesses safely.
