Eccentric Malaysian entrepreneur and personality Dato’ Aliff Syukri recently took to his social media account to respond to a viral video by a local interior designer about Aliff’s 3-storey bungalow.
The video by the interior designer took aim at the interior design of Aliff’s residence, likening it to a Tom Yum restaurant and Aliff is having none of it.
“Don’t use my name and popularity to promote your business”
In his response to the viral video with over 3.6 million views, Aliff rebutted the moniker given to his home and called out the interior designer for trying to use his name and popularity to promote her business.
Threatening with legal action, Aliff further asserted that his home’s interior design was designed by one of the best interior designers in Malaysia.
Moreover, Aliff’s home is even shortlisted as one of the homes with the best interior design, representing Malaysia in the world.
The popular entrepreneur asserted,
“It’s my home, I can do whatever I like. Don’t use my name. Don’t use my popularity to promote your interior design business. Wait for the letter of demand from me.”
In the captions, Aliff told the interior designer to not feel like she’s better than everyone else in the industry and claimed that she’s not even registered with the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID).
