For the past couple of years, Aliff Syukri has been coming up with Raya songs, much to the criticisms of Malaysian listeners. That did not deter his will, and he even claimed himself to be the country’s number 1 singer.

With Raya in less than a month, if you’re expecting to hear about his new Raya songs, Aliff has a disappointing update.

“I might not have any Raya songs this year. My composer has betrayed me.”

“This industry in M’sia has never appreciated me”

According to Aliff, the lyrics for his Raya song are ready. However, the words he wanted to express through his Raya songs might not come true after the unnamed composer allegedly “cheated” him by misusing his lyrics.

“He stole my lyrics and gave it to another artiste.”

Aliff also expressed his disappointment towards the local music industry, which he labelled as unappreciative.

“I’m so disappointed. The music industry here just don’t appreciate me, and it seems like I have to bring my talent elsewhere.”

It’s uncertain if Aliff will try his luck on the other side where he believes the people will appreciate his talent more, and he has a message to the fans who have been waiting to hear from him.

“I’m sorry, Malaysians. You might be depressed without my song this year.”

“We would be depressed if you had songs this year”

Many netizens, on the other hand, expressed their gratitude after knowing that Aliff is not coming up with any Raya songs this year.

“Oh my God, this is such a good news! We’re relieved!”

“Thank God. We can finally celebrate Raya peacefully this year. Thank you, Datuk.”

“The happiest news this year. Thank God.”

“No wonder the Ramadhan this year has been calm and breezy. Thank God.”

“We would be depressed if you had Raya songs coming.”

“That’s a relief. Thank you for making a wise decision, Dato.”

“It’s a good news for the netizens. Agree?”

Hopefully, Aliff can reach a common ground with his composer and perhaps find himself a new one. Who knows a different composer might just pave the way to much better songs?
