Yesterday (Nov 7), the founder of Kembara Kitchen, William Cheah exposed a long-time volunteer and regular church-goer as a pedophile after a 14-year-old girl told them that the man had been acting inappropriately with her. The group of volunteers were shocked when she revealed that the man, identified as TC (not his real name) had been pestering her with messages that were rather disturbing.
He would call her pet names and constantly compliment her while trying to get the young girl to meet up with him face to face, even after she had politely told him she was not comfortable with his messages. William was even more disgusted after he warned his fellow volunteers and exposed TC on social media.
That’s because many other women came forward and accused TC of doing the same thing to them when they were much younger. It seems that this has been going on for more than 15 years! Now, with all the backlash against him for allegedly sexually grooming the girls, 36-year-old TC claims he has been misunderstood. Really, bro?
The alleged grooming suspect told The Star that he was only being caring and did not see any harm in his messages. “I am actually very straightforward and friendly. I think my actions have been misunderstood,” he added. He admitted to the daily that he had been messaging the underage girls for many years but insisted that it was not pedophilic.
He explained that he was only looking for a connection and companionship like “brother and sister” and claimed that he only wanted to help and protect the girls. “I don’t have any sickness. My intention is to look for companionship,” he added.
When asked about the girls’ ages, he said he knew they that they were underaged. “Age is just a number. I am the kind of person who will talk to everyone,” TC explained while adding that “cares for the people”.
