It’s a sad sad day for Malaysian make-up gurus and aficionados alike, as we have some absolutely heartbreaking news to share. NYX Cosmetics, the American brand best known for affordable, high quality makeup products that have been a stalwart favourite of many makeup professionals, will be closing down all of its Malaysian operations starting from 30th June onwards.

The announcement was made through NYX Cosmetics’ Malaysian Facebook page, where a list of locations and their closing dates were listed.

The makeup brand, which was founded in Los Angeles, California, was introduced to Malaysian consumers in 2017 with their first flagship store in IOI City Mall Putrajaya. Since then, they have expanded their network of stores to encompass locations that include Sunway Pyramid, Midvalley Megamall, Sogo KL, and Genting.

The closure will take place in stages, with physical stores being the first to close, followed by their online e-commerce shops. You will still be able to purchase NYX Cosmetics locally from Lazada, Hermo and Shopee up until 30th September 2020. Products will be available at a hefty discount, while stocks last.

From 30th September onwards, NYX Cosmetics will formally exit the Malaysian market, and their products can only be purchased through international shipment from Amazon, ASOS, and LookFantastic.

While we’re sad to see NYX Cosmetics bid goodbye, we hope that we’ll see them returning to Malaysia once again!
