Children often times do not know how much a parent has to struggle to earn a living for themselves and their family, blissfully unaware of the value of money.
But every once in a while, a smart kid shows up and wows us.
Nadiya 哈亚蒂 took to her TikTok page to showcase her son sneaking a small tupperware of biscuits into his bag in an effort to help her save on his pocket money.
She wrote, “Next time when mum asks you why, you just answer lah, ‘because I can’.”
In the video, Nadiya 哈亚蒂 explained that she had noticed her son trying to hide something in his bag when he was getting ready to head to school.
It turns out that the little boy was trying to hide a small container of 3 biscuits in his bag.
Upon finding out that her son decided to sneak the biscuits into his bag to save money, she asked, “Tell me, why do you want to save money?”
The adorable boy responded, “Because I… because…”, to which Nadiya 哈亚蒂 asked again, “Tell me, I never asked you to save money. Why do you want to save money?”
“Because I don’t want to buy anything,” the boy replied.
After further prying on why he didn’t want to buy any food at school, Nadiya 哈亚蒂 son then shared his belief that they do not have much money. He also told his mother that the biscuits were enough for him.
What makes this entire situation so much cuter is the fact that the little boy took bites of the square biscuits in order to make them fit into the small, round plastic container.
“I ate some already.”
