PDRM estimated that the DNA results for the decomposing body discovered at a garbage gate of a river in Banting, Selangor, will be completed tomorrow (January 2).

PDRM believed that the body may be related to the 15-year-old Yap Xin Yuan, who went missing in Cheras on December 19, and as of 10 AM this morning, Xin Yuan’s father said the police have yet to come up with the confirmed DNA results.

In a telephone interview with Sin Chew, Xin Yuan’s father, he has accepted fate and that the body may be her daughter who went missing.

“Although the DNA results have yet to be released, the corpse should be my daughter.”

The father also said the hospital has yet to notify him if he should visit the hospital to retrieve the body.

PDRM found a decomposing body at a river in Banting, Selangor, on December 28, and it didn’t take long for the authorities to apprehend 3 suspects – Xin Yuan’s 16-year-old boyfriend, his brother, and his father.

The teen confessed his involvement in the murder and said his brother helped in getting rid of Xin Yuan’s body.
