A rather peculiar sight on the road in Setiu, Terengganu was caught on camera recently and has since gone viral in our country due to the rather humorous nature of the whole incident.
Shared by @mfg_paqiqo on TikTok, the video has garnered more than 5.8 million views and 465,000 likes in just over a day, with many Malaysians amused by what was depicted.
Axia driving on the road with a fuel nozzle stuck in its fuel cap
Recorded from inside a vehicle, @mfg_paqiqo ended up driving behind a silver Perodua Axia which apparently just refuelled the car’s fuel tank.
How do we know this? Well, for starters, the Axia had a fuel nuzzle casually dangling out from its fuel cap, which the driver didn’t seem to notice.
While this wasn’t expressly revealed in the TikTok post, it is believed that the driver had refuelled the car and drove away with the fuel nozzle still inside the fuel cap, making the nozzle and the hose break off from the fuel pump.
Stopping at a traffic light, a kind motorcyclist who noticed the dangling fuel hose and nozzle stopped beside the Axia and told the driver about their ‘oversight’.
After the traffic light turned green, the driver then abruptly changed direction to the left instead of going straight, presumably to remove the fuel nozzle from the Axia’s fuel cap.

The incident took place at Caltex fuel station in Kampung Buluh, Setiu
In the comments, many Malaysians were amused by the Axia driver’s lack of awareness and claimed that the fuel nozzle was from the Caltex fuel station at Kampung Buluh in Setiu.
One commenter said that the fuel station turned havoc on the morning of 25 April due to the Axia driver driving away with the fuel nozzle.
Meanwhile, one commenter joked that given the Axia had a non-Terengganu plate number, the driver was not from the state and that the problem was with drivers from out of state rather than Terengganu residents.
Besides that, one commenter said that the driver might end up having to pay RM500 for their oversight in driving away with the fuel nozzle in tact.
