Budget 2024: Govt to Give RM500 Reward to Youths Aged 18 to 20 Who Do Volunteer Work

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during the tabling of Budget 2024 in Parliament today announced a new initiative for youths to encourage volunteer work.

Using the concept of “pay it forward”, the government has agreed to give a reward of RM500 to youths aged 18 to 20 if they do volunteer work with a body recognised by the government.

Besides that, the Rakan Muda programme will also be given an RM20 million allocation for youth-related programmes.
