For many people, committing harm and injury to innocent animals who are practically defenceless is an unthinkable act. It is inhumane just as much as it is cruel. Unfortunately, not every person seems to have the same compassion and empathy that most of us show these four-legged creatures, as this post on Facebook goes to show.

The group says that they are willing to offer RM1,000 to anyone who could come forward as a key witness to the crime, or could present video evidence of the incident having taken place.

According to Harian Metro, who had reached out to the animal activist group, it is said that the president of the group Arie Dwi Andika is currently in the process of obtaining more evidence of the crime itself.

“We are in the process of getting information from local residents who live around the area, as well as security camera footage.”

He also adds that the suspect, if found, could be charged under the Animal Welfare Act 2015, which states that those who commit harm to animals may be fined with an amount between RM10,000 and RM100,000, as well as face jail time of no more than three years, according to Astro Awani.
