Lying is never a good solution to anything. In the end, we should always tell the truth and face the consequences. But it seems like Malaysia just discovered yet another great liar.

To cover up his mistake, this 9-year-old boy told an epic story that actually got people believing him. It even involved the police which he sent on a wild-goose chase!

The child from Wakaf Mempelan, Kuala Terengganu said he was kidnapped at about 2.10PM on April 5, 2017, according to Lobak Merah.

The child claimed he was right outside his school when a man dragged him into a red coloured van.

He said that there were two other little girls in the van along with him and another man was driving the vehicle.

The boy even said that he saw a parang and knife in the van!

After that, he was able to ‘escape’ and ran off the a nearby shop. His mother immediately reported to the police and the authorities were out investigating the case.

The case even went viral on social media as many worried netizens shared the news in hopes of finding the culprit.

Fortunately, the police were able to find out that there was no such kidnapping that took place. And it turns out the boy told this epic lie just because he was caught by mosque officials for stealing its money.

Because he was afraid the mosque officials will contact and report the case to his mother, he instantly created the kidnapping story.

In the end, the boy’s mother had to go make another police report after he admitted the truth.

Tsk tsk, to create such a huge lie at that young age! Hopefully he has learnt his lesson and not lie like this ever again.
