4yo Boy Dies After Falling Out of 8th-Floor Flat Window in Port Klang

A four-year-old boy was found dead after falling from the eighth floor of his home near Port Klang, in an incident that took social media by storm late yesterday evening.

The tragedy is believed to have occurred on Friday morning, when the father had left for work and the mother had gone out to take their second child to the babysitter.

Pictures and videos of the incident have circulated widely on various social media platforms. Viewer discretion is advised.

According to reports, the boy was found at 7:45 am, face down with a head injury, before being sent to Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR), Klang.

Neighbours reported hearing a loud noise followed by shouting from people at the scene.

Police have since released an official statement regarding the tragedy.

According to Klang Selatan Police Deputy Chief Supt Kamal Ariffin Aman Shah, “Preliminary investigations indicate that the boy fell from the window of his home on the eighth floor.”

“He was rushed to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital, Klang, but was pronounced dead during treatment.”

He added that the case is now being investigated under Section 31(1) of the Child Act 2001.

“We ask anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward to the nearest police station or contact the South Klang Police Headquarters at 03-33762222 to assist in the investigation,” he added.
