A 44-year-old headmistress of a school in Tampin, Negeri Sembilan, was found dead in her office this morning (August 17) during a Charity Sale event.
Madam Hor Wan Fong was found unconscious in her office after informing the Vice Principal that she wanted to rest.

The event was held at SJK(C) Kampung Baru Gedok. At around 8 am, Wan Fong told the Vice Principal that she was feeling unwell, possibly due to having too much for breakfast. Following suggestions from others, she decided to take a break in her office. Later, one of the teachers knocked on her door but received no response.
The teacher entered the office and found Wan Fong unconscious. The school management immediately contacted emergency services. Paramedics performed CPR for 15 minutes before transporting her to Gemencheh Clinic.
Wan Fong was pronounced dead at 10:10 am, after an hour-long attempt to revive her.

The event at the school was cancelled, as Wan Fong had been scheduled to officiate the programme. A school representative accompanied her husband to lodge a police report. Tampin Member of Parliament (MP), YB Dato’ Mohd Isam Bin Hj. Mohd Isa, also visited the hospital to understand the situation, which he later shared on his Facebook page.
According to Isam, Wan Fong’s husband said she had no chronic illnesses and had only served as the school’s principal for eight months, as reported by Sin Chew and Harian Metro.
Tampin Police Chief, Superintendent Amiruddien Sariman, stated that PDRM will release an official statement once the autopsy report is available. The body has been sent to Tampin Hospital for examination.
