A 25-year-old Malaysian man tragically slipped and fell from an apartment in Bukit Jalil, KL, while trying to climb to his girlfriend’s unit at 3:30 AM.
PDRM has classified the matter as a sudden death, and the funeral is scheduled for today (August 25). During a wake ceremony yesterday (August 24) in Meru, Perak, the deceased’s elder brother said that his younger brother, Chen Jian Wei (transliteration), had just returned home from overseas in late July.

“He never spoke about his girlfriend”
Jian Wei was in customer service abroad before he resigned and came home. While hunting for jobs, he met his girlfriend, and before the accident, they had only been dating for two to three weeks.
The family, however, had no idea about the identity of Jian Wei’s girlfriend before the accident.
At most, the family only knew that Jian Wei had met a new girlfriend, who had not spoken to the family, until today.
“He never spoke to me about his girlfriend. We knew he had a new lover, but we had never met her.”
“We don’t know her name, we don’t have her contact details, we don’t know the condition of their relationship,” Jian Wei’s elder brother said, reported Sin Chew.

He also said that the family knew about the accident after the police informed them, but they still don’t know why he was there at 3 in the morning.
Jian Wei was the youngest sibling among 5 brothers, and had a good relationship with the family. His brother also said that Jian Wei was a cheerful person and was closest to his mother.
