Last month, a 20-year-old Malaysian college student faced 4 charges of raping a 12-year-old girl.
Today, the same student was brought to the Sessions Court in Batu Pahat, Johor, for two other charges of raping a 20-year-old female college student.

A 20-year-old student was charged with raping a woman in an SUV, just a month after being charged with sexually assaulting a minor
20-year-old Muhammad Nur Hakim Mohd Laili faced 2 charges of raping the 20-year-old victim inside a sport utility vehicle (SUV) that was parked along Jalan Parit on July 27, between 11 PM and 1 AM. The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to both charges, which were framed under Sections 376(1) and 377CA of the Penal Code, respectively.
On 18 August, the accused was arraigned in the Muar Sessions Court on four charges of rape and sexual assault against the 12-year-old victim. For this, he also pleaded not guilty and was granted a RM20,000 bail.
At the proceedings, the prosecution was led by Deputy Public Prosecutor Sharifah Natasha Syed Ahmad, while lawyer Mohd Razak Sharif appeared for the accused. The prosecution called for bail of RM40,000 for both charges, but the court allowed bail of RM10,000 for the accused.

The court enforced other requirements for the bail
However, Muhammad Nor Hakim was also compelled to follow a few regulations set by the court.
The accused was required to report to the nearest police station at the beginning of every month, not to interfere with prosecution witnesses, including the victim, and to surrender their passports to the court, as reported by Harian Metro.
The case has been set for a submission of documents on 16 October 2025.
