He pleaded not guilty to 3 charges
All the alleged incidents took place at a house in a village in Bachok, Kelantan.
The first charge accuses the 20-year-old of raping the victim in their father’s room in April 2023. The second incident allegedly occurred in the kitchen of their home in December 2024, while the third is said to have taken place in another room this past April.
The charges fall under Section 376(3) of the Penal Code, which carries a minimum prison sentence of eight years and a maximum of 30 years, along with at least 10 strokes of the cane if convicted.

“He was just 17 when it first happened”
During the proceedings, the accused’s lawyer appealed for bail, arguing that his client was a young offender, noting that the first alleged incident took place when the accused was just 17 years old.
“He has never tried to flee. He got married just three months ago, and his wife is currently in the early stages of pregnancy. Both his father and wife are present in court today and are willing to act as guarantors to ensure he does not contact or disturb the victim. The accused also plans to move to Kuala Lumpur with his wife for work,” the lawyer said.
However, the Deputy Public Prosecutor objected to the bail application and, if bail were to be granted, urged the court to impose a high sum of RM15,000.
“The alleged rapes occurred when the victim was 11, 12, and 13, three serious charges involving his own sister. The court is well aware of how seriously such cases are viewed in Kelantan. The victim is traumatised, has complained of chest pains, and has been medically treated and diagnosed with psychological stress resulting from these incidents,” the public prosecutor said.

The court later granted bail at RM30,000, with conditions requiring the accused to report to the nearest police station monthly and to have no contact with the victim.
The victim, now 13, is currently under the care of the Social Welfare Department.
The case has been set for mention on August 6. As of now, the accused has yet to post bail.
