Six men, including two senior Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) officers and a police officer, have been arrested to assist in investigations into a gang robbery that occurred in the Gombak district on February 27.
Selangor police chief Shazeli Kahar said the incident was reported at about 7:30 AM, prompting authorities to launch a special operation to track down those involved.

He said investigations and intelligence gathering conducted by the Selangor Contingent Criminal Investigation Department, together with the Criminal Investigation Division of the Gombak District Police Headquarters, led to several arrests beginning on 2 March.
“During the operation, police detained six local men at several separate locations. Of the six suspects, three are civil servants — two senior officers and one police personnel — while the other three are members of the public,” he said in a statement on Saturday (7 March).
Shazeli added that investigations also revealed one of the civilian suspects has 20 prior criminal records. All six suspects have been remanded until 8 March to facilitate further investigations.
Police also seized RM11,498 in cash along with several other items believed to be linked to the case
Among the items confiscated were a Mercedes‑Benz, a Chery Omoda 5 sport utility vehicle, and a Toyota Hiace van. Authorities also seized three vests bearing the word “Polis”, two 100‑gram gold bars, and 13 mobile phones of various brands.

Shazeli said further investigations have also led police to identify two additional suspects who are believed to still be at large.
“Efforts to locate the two individuals are ongoing, based on information obtained from the suspects who have already been arrested,” he said.
He stressed that PDRM would not compromise in conducting investigations, even if the case involves members of the force.
