A 16-year-old fell into a coma before tragically passing away after getting hit by a driver who ran a red light in Kedah.
According to Kosmo, the fatal accident occurred on July 28 (Monday) at a traffic light intersection at around 9:10 PM.

He was dragged under the car
During the incident, Muhammad Nur Iman Danial Mohd Roshidi had just started his journey from Alor Setar to Gurun after the traffic light turned green.
A Perodua Axia, driven by a police officer from the Yan District Police Headquarters (IPD), was coming from Jenun towards Yan when it allegedly ran a red light and crashed into the victim in the middle of the intersection in Guar Chempedak town.
The force of the collision dragged both the victim and his motorcycle under the vehicle, leaving him unconscious due to the severity of his injuries.

The form four student was taken to Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital (HSB), where he slipped into a coma for three days before passing away.
The victim, who is the son of a former police officer, was brought back to his family’s home in Batu 18 and is expected to be laid to rest today at the Islamic cemetery in Guar Chempedak.
According to China Press, the case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving causing death. If found guilty, the driver could face up to five years in jail, a fine between RM5,000 and RM15,000, and have their license revoked for at least five years.
Police are also asking anyone with information to come forward to help with the investigation.
