13 SOPs Malaysians Need to Follow During The Endemic Phase Starting 1 April

Yesterday (8 March), Prime Minister Dato Seri Ismail Sabri had announced that the country is moving towards the endemic phase effective 1 April.

Just this afternoon (9 March), Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin had announced the latest SOPs for the people when the country officially transitions into its endemicity. Here’s a list of SOPs that you should follow, effective 1 April.

1. The usage of a face mask is still a must in public places except for open spaces without crowds.

2. Check-ins via MySejahtera are still a MUST, except for open spaces without crowds.

3. Those interested to maintain their “fully vaccinated” status (aged 60+, Sinovac recipients aged 18+ for the first two doses) must receive booster jabs before 1 April.

4. Jemaah prayers will finally be allowed without any physical distancing.

5. Nightclubs will remain closed.

6. Selected / relevant businesses will be allowed to operate for 24 hours again!

7. Travellers who are quarantined in Malaysia may end their isolation period on 1 April.

8. Children under 17 are not required to undergo quarantine, regardless of their vaccination status but RTK tests 24 hours upon arrival are mandatory.

9. Unvaccinated / partially vaccinated travellers will need to be isolated for 5 days.

10. Relevant documents are required for those exempted from Covid-19 vaccines.

11. Interstate travels will be allowed regardless of your vaccination status.

12. An antiviral pill, PAXLOVID, will be prescribed to people who are recovering from the Covid-19 virus.

13. People are still encouraged to work from home in order to curb the spread of the virus in the workplace.
