Two brothers, aged 12 and 14, were swept away by a strong current while trying to retrieve a ball from a large drain in Taman Prima Saujana, Kajang, Selangor, yesterday evening (4 December).

Unfortunately, the younger boy was pronounced dead at the Kajang Hospital after he was found 2km from where the siblings had fallen into the drain.

“So far, we have not found the second victim. God willing, as long as weather conditions permit, we will continue the search. If the conditions do not permit, we may stop for a while and resume tomorrow morning,”

“We hope and pray that we can find the missing brother in the near future, to facilitate all related matters,” he added.
