1.The Bread Shop
The Bread Shop has been around for a little more than 10 years now, so it’s no doubt this bakery knows their stuff! This was the first ever bakery in Malaysia to start selling the cruffin – a cross between a croissant and a muffin that originated in Australia. It’s baked in huge muffin tins before being filled with flavors like lemon and salted caramel.
Although we recommend you getting their cruffins, their rising success is also thanks to their variety of other scrumptious baked goods.
If you’re planning on dining-in here, do note that seating is available but limited.

2. Plump by Tao Bakes Cakes
What started off as a one-man online baking side-gig quickly turned into a booming cake business that’s always booked and busy for the mastermind creator behind it – Cheah Wen Tao.
“Tao Bakes Cakes” used to solely be an online made-to-order cake business but Malaysians just cannot get enough of Tao’s amazingggg creations, so much so that he recently opened a cake cafe called Plump.
Now you can taste their decadent slices easily without having to order a whole cake! We are OBSSESED with Tao’s cakes, if you’ve never tried them, we seriously can’t recommend them enough.
Our favourite is Tao’s Hazelnut Burnt Butter Cake that has a sweet-salty taste and is topped with salted chocolate ganache, sautéed pears, praline pecans and blueberries.
