No one takes the term falling in love quite seriously until you actually fall in love with
someone while you’re 45,000 feet high up in the air.
1 in 50 people have claimed that they met their soul mates while boarding the aircraft. However, the other 49 people either ignore the people they meet or find them completely annoying to be around shows a study done by the British HSBC bank.

Almost 2,150 people from 141 countries participated in this survey on meeting the love of their lives while flying. Through this study, we have discovered that many people are becoming braver by the day to strike conversations with random people.
The fairytale-like dream of finding someone while boarding a plane or bumping into someone in the airport travels back to 1960. During this era, various airline advertisements focused on the idea of love.
Northwest Airlines encourage people to travel the shortest way to meet their loved ones with their tagline ‘Give wings to your heart’.

Through this study, it has also been found that the foundation of long-lasting friendships are also made during airplane rides. Almost 1 in 7 fliers have admitted to meeting new friends during their business or holiday flight trips. The in-flight WI-FI option has also made it easier for travelers to create conversations.
Not only that, the airplane app, known as Inflighto promotes conversations between travellers. Yes, there’s an actual app for that!
